July at Added Value!
Summer is in full swing, and things are busy and beautiful out on the Red Hook Community Farm.
Cucumbers, sunflowers, salad, and turnips are filling our harvest baskets. Elementary school students have harvested and feasted, and our school programs have wrapped up for the summer. Next week, our Summer Youth Program begins, and we are looking forward to welcoming 25 new youth to the farm!
Join us on SATURDAY, JULY 8th for our FARMERS' MARKET OPENING as we celebrate bountiful fresh veggies and developing youth entrepreneurship! There will be music, lots of fruits and vegetables, a cafe run by the Lower East Side Girls Club, music (Oja from Hook Productions on the turntables), kids activities, and lots of fun ways to volunteer out on the farm.

* Looking for a way to help out? If you're interested in supporting Farmers' Market Opening day, give us a call or email Caroline. We're looking for someone to help pick up sound equipment before the event, and we're looking for extra hands for the big day!
