Harvest Season at Added Value
As we round the bend into September, the Red Hook Community Farm is as bountiful as it’s ever been. We’ve got bushels of tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, and carrots… we’ve got rows of greens: lettuce, arugula, kale, collards… and we’ve got plenty of news and events! This week, we were featured in two national publications… one about urban food production in NYC, the other about the North American movement: Eating the Fruits of the Five Boroughs Check out Adam Gopnik’s piece in this week’s New Yorker about his experiment eating an all-NYC diet. One of his stops on the super-local food journey? Added Value’s Red Hook Community Farm! Learn about the growing momentum towards building food justice, healthy communities, and greener cities.
