Harvest Season at Added Value
As we round the bend into September, the Red Hook Community Farm is as bountiful as it’s ever been. We’ve got bushels of tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, and carrots… we’ve got rows of greens: lettuce, arugula, kale, collards… and we’ve got plenty of news and events! This week, we were featured in two national publications… one about urban food production in NYC, the other about the North American movement: Eating the Fruits of the Five Boroughs

Added Value’s 3rd Annual Red Hook Harvest Festival!
9 AM – 5 PM on the Red Hook Community Farm

Our Harvest Festival was a great success last year, and much of the credit goes to the incredible volunteers who made it happen. Whether you’re interested in doing outreach, setting up hay bales, helping to organize our silent auction, or painting faces, we’d love your help and support! We are seeking a few Fall Harvest Interns to help us harvest for our restaurant deliveries and farmer's market. We are looking for individuals who can commit from mid-September through mid-November, on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30am-12:30pm. We also have an opportunity for an intern for our Saturday Farmer's Market, which would be a commitment of 8 hours every Saturday from 8:00am-4:00pm until mid-November.
